Steel reuse is one of the largest and least exploited levers for cutting embodied carbon in construction. The barriers are rarely technical - they are commercial, contractual, and about whether the right material and the right project meet at the right moment.
Since 2022, Circular Steel UK has grown into the UK's focal point for structural steel reuse. The 2026 event brought over 125 people from across the supply chain together for a day of case studies, roundtables and honest conversation about what is and is not working. Watch the 2026 sessions.

Drop-in clinics. Bring a live problem to a specialist and talk it through in a small group. No preparation needed.
Case study boards. Real projects presented in a consistent format across the day, curated rather than sold.

Have a project worth showing?
Circular Steel UK 2027 will feature a curated set of project case study boards, produced in a consistent format so the projects speak for themselves. Anyone can submit - projects are selected on merit, and sponsorship makes no difference to the outcome. Content is due by 4 June 2027.
A few questions people ask
Will sessions be recorded? Yes. Sessions are filmed and made available free afterwards, as they were in 2026.
Is it technical? Some of it. Sessions are pitched at people who need to make a decision rather than at specialists only, and the drop-in clinics exist precisely so you can ask the question you'd rather not ask in a big room.
Do sponsors choose the speakers? No. Sponsorship buys visibility and, at the higher tiers, a role in the programme. It does not buy any say over content or speakers.
